A launch was held in District Court for the State Bar of Nevada Section Pro Bono Challenge. Attorneys from various law firms came by to talk smack on which firm would pull down bragging rights to the prestigious title of pro bono champs. Winners will not only get the bragging rights, including a feature in Nevada Lawyer, SBN eNews and social media; they also get recognition at the State Bar of Nevada annual bar conference. The top volunteer lawyer from the top 10 sections will get an invite to a special lunch with the Nevada Supreme Court and Nevada Court of Appeals. All participants will get an invite to judicial receptions at the Eighth and Second Judicial District Courts.

The challenge is billed as a “friendly competition” between sections to benefit pro bono. It’s easy for attorneys to participate by going online. Earn one point by donation in lieu of pro bono.
